Bio
I'm a 30-something mom of 4 children (ages 11, 9, 2 and infant). I’ve been told I'm usually smiling and bubbly, but I think of myself as a quiet person who prefers to listen and learn. I've traveled the world but love living in the Midwest US. I have degrees in public health, medicine and microbiology but squirm uncomfortably when people address me as “Dr.” rather than by my first name. Currently, my professional career is on hold so I can be a SAHM. I still haven't decided what I want to be when I grow up (my kids will probably decide on their careers before I will!) I enjoy the challenge of academics, but feel “education” isn't defined by a degree. Some of the smartest people I know never went to college. I live a simple life and love to shop at second-hand stores and garage sales instead of fancy department stores. My favorite quote is “Imagination is more important than knowledge. Knowledge is limited. Imagination encircles the world." -- Albert Einstein
