Bio
Fuelled by a creative family environment, I have naturally been encouraged to foster an active awareness for visual art, whichever form that may take. Knowing this I pursued a Foundation course in Art & Design at London’s Central Saint Martins. During which time I made the conscious decision to move away from my studies in Fine Art Sculpture to 3D Design, working loosely with ceramics during my seminal project. This cumulated in gaining an unconditional place on the 3D Materials Practice (Wood, Metals, Ceramics & Plastics) course at the University of Brighton, Autumn 2008, where I specialized in ceramics, metalwork and visual research. I graduated in June 2010 at Diploma stage.
With previous studies in Japanese, Textiles and Art & Design during college, this kicked off a broad range of interests. I’ve been an exhibiting member of the Enfield Embroiderer’s Guild, and have an ever-growing passion for pattern, colour, domestic interiors and surface design, along with a joy of contemporary craft and fine art.
In carrying on my creative pursuits post university, away from the constraints and demands of deadlines, I’ve found a new level of enjoyment with my work. And I am content running a few different projects where I can fit them in around my fulltime job.
I am always available to take on commissions. And without access to a ceramics workshop I now mainly work in mixed media: textiles, stitch and drawn images, with any queries please contact me on:
