Bio
I am a lifelong student and teacher who relishes and takes full advantage of the opportunity to learn from life's experiences. I love my children, spouse and parents unconditionally and I am most grateful to them for adding to the richness of my life.
Through this blog, I intend to share how I see the world through my dot-connecting experience of life, art and creativity. It is my hope that this would serve as a personal development tool that can motivate readers to tap into their own unique dot-connecting system.
I am also a teaching/visual artist, cultural arts educator, and designer of wearable art who founded My Time Has Come™ art-related social and cultural enrichment program as an outgrowth of my wearable art business, Madona Cole Originals™. I facilitate workshops for schools, libraries, churches, and other community organizations. These workshops address art, fashion, the awareness of cultural diversity, and personal development to emphasize the significance of art and culture as a mechanism to break down barriers and maintain self-esteem.
The enthusiastic response and interest that resulted from my community service initiatives: the Self-Empowering Workshop for College-Bound Students on Long Island and Creative Conversations & Artistic Expressions - fueled my move to expand these and other activities with the establishment of the non-profit organization, Your Time For Creative Empowerment, Inc. which provides self-empowering tools for youth and parents within the context of the arts, fashion and culture.
I am the designer of Dignity Headwear™ for hair-loss and wardrobe enhancement. My Free Dignity Enhancement Workshops for support groups is another example of how I voluntarily serve the Long Island community.
