Bio
I was diagnosed with breast cancer not long after turning 50. I have recently turned 70 and so for 20 years have been living with this diagnosis. 10 years ago I was diagnosed with secondaries and I have been on chemotherapy for the past 3 years. Obviously cancer is a big part of my life and I've tried not to let it be the only notable thing about me although sometimes it's hard not to let it take over. A lot of not letting it be all about cancer is how you are feeling and if you feel well, you can push it aside and do other things.
That's what I've been doing: writing children's stories, having several articles published and writing about anything and everything that takes my interest. I attend a weekly pencil drawing class and am about to begin a weekly digital photo class to help me with a book I'm putting together about my soon to be 50 years of marriage. The book includes a lot of text and many photos.
My husband and I have 3 married children and 7 grandchildren. We are a very close and loving family.
