Bio
A 50-year old former software technical writer, I moved to the Philippines from San Francisco in December, 2010 to live with my Filipino boyfriend. Prior to moving I visited 8 times over the previous 3 years. For 26 years I wrote user guides, online help, administrator guides, and other documents to assist users of software and hardware, and also managed groups of technical writers at 6 different companies. I also raised several million dollars for non-profits as a volunteer fundraiser, mostly for The Hunger Project, http://www.thp.org
The Hunger Project started in 1977. At that time there were 41,000 humans dying every day of hunger and hunger-related causes. Today 20,000 are dying of hunger. In the last 35 years humanity has cut deaths from hunger in half. For the first time in history, it is now possible to sustainably end hunger for all humanity. That is what my life is about.
