Bio
I love to read and I love to write. I'm a little too fond of spending time inside my own head, and unfortunately, this is where my thoughts often stay. During productive times they make it onto screen or paper and into my writing folder. This blog will provide the next step of getting them out into the world.
In the real world I'm a retired teacher. I taught high school English and History and then switched to adult education where I worked with migrants and refugees learning English as an additional language.
I spent many years writing poetry before I realised the joys of writing fiction - surprising, since I long ago discovered the joys of reading it. However I always enjoyed the process of shaping thoughts into a form and structure - imposing some order onto the chaos of ideas in my mind. Poetry will do that, but so too will well crafted fiction. That's the challenge. And that's where I've landed.
