Bio
I was born in Seattle Washington and moved to Fairbanks Alaska with my parents at the age of five where I still reside with my husband. We’ve been married for 28 years and we have two grown children, both married, and one grandchild.
I lived with suicidal depression for most my life—thirty-one years. I found a relationship with my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and that began to fade away as I grew spiritually. It wasn’t easy, but it was easier than how I was living. Celebrate Recovery has been instrumental in helping me surrender myself to Christ and grow to trust God in all things.
I serve as a leader in Celebrate Recovery, and also as a spiritual guidance counselor to those in need of a spiritual solution to life’s issues. I’m devoted to helping others overcome past hurts, growing in their relationship with Christ and growing into their purpose in life.
I host a small group in our church, Psalm84Christians—Christian Bible Fellowship, presenting studies that focus on areas of personal, emotional and spiritual growth and healing, and learning the teachings and passions of Christ. It is my heart that Christians come to live the life that God purposed for them and live in the abundance of what God has for them.
Traci Marrs – Psalm 84 Christians is a web-based ministry I founded in 2008 that offers resources for Christians to find what’s helpful to grow in their relationship with God. Thoughts & Invocations are messages that are geared towards encouraging thoughtful inspiration towards the wisdom and knowledge of God.
In December 2012, I went to Israel and after I had come home, I found myself writing about my experience—trying to articulate it. It became a book called Sojourners of the Wilderness and was published April 15, 2015.
I look back on my life and realize I’ve made many accomplishments that feel more like conquerings. I could never have done any of it without God. I’m very grateful to be able to say I’m content in my golden years. The Lord has done a good work in me, and I’m honored to be able to share with others what God has given me the privilege to learn.
