Bio
Maureen was born and raised in Boston, Massachusetts. Her vocations in the corporate world spanned many avenues. The height of her professional career was devoted to Software Engineering at Microsoft Corporation, providing developer support, technical training and writing articles for the Microsoft Knowledge Base. A sample of her technical literature (under her prior married name) can be viewed at http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms811304.aspx
Having immersed herself in the healing arts, Maureen transitioned from computer programming in 2004 and began practicing in the field of integrative complementary medicine. In 2008, she created BarnStone Healing Center, providing private sessions, workshops and inspirational speaking engagements.
Maureen’s current focus is her soon to be released book, Your Owner’s Manual for Life~Source Code of Your Soul. Having experienced the profoundly parallel similarities between the workings of our Mind/Body and computer technology, Source Code utilizes this paradigm to illustrate and guide readers in orchestrating their life in harmony with their Mind/Body in ways that are personally ideal for them. Maureen is an EIPPY Award-Winning Author and Co-Creator of the Best-Selling My Big Idea Book.
Maureen is a self-empowerment facilitator whose objective is guiding others to expand their awareness, soften their resistance and re-connect with their own capacities for healing, creating and thriving in a robust, fulfilling life. She continues to explore, implement and compose literature on the latest developments in the Mind/Body science, holistic field and methodologies of the healing arts. She reminds us that we possess the capacities to actualize our full potential for optimum well-being and realizing our highest aspirations. Her message is living purposefully through meditation and mindfulness.
