Bio
Mohd Faridh Hafez Mhd Omar is currently a Senior Lecturer at Faculty of Leadership and Management, Universiti Sains Islam Malaysia (USIM), and a PhD from Department of Siyasah Syar'iyyah, Academy of Islamic Studies University Malaya (APIUM). He started his academic path with Diploma Tahfiz Al-Quran wa Da'wah at Darul Quran JAKIM in 2006. He then obtained his bachelor degree from USIM on the field of Da'wah and Islamic Management and continued his M.A at International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM) with a specialization in Usul Al-Din and Comparative Religion in 2015. He successfully defended his doctoral thesis under the superivsion of Assoc. Prof Dr Sharifah Hayaati Syed Ismail on February 2020 that NGO Governance, Da'wah Organizations and Leadership were discovered.
To date, he wrote two journal articles and three chapters in book and presented 10 lectures on Islamic Movement/NGO in Malaysia, Islamic Leadership, NGO Governance and Interfaith Dialogue in Malaysia, in which his research interest. Apart of his intellectual endeavor, he has been actively participating as volunteer and panelist in the daʿwah program, community services, inter-religious forum and project as Head of Intellectual Bureau of Muslim Youth Movement of Malaysia (ABIM).
He is a recipient of a grant to conduct scholarly research at Center for Islam and Contemporary World (CICW), Shenandoah University, Virginia, United States of America by the J. William Fulbright Foreign Scholarship Board through the Fulbright US-ASEAN Visiting Scholars Initiative 2019/2020.
