Bio
Megan D. Krause completed her BA in International Development Studies at Canadian Mennonite University and more recently her BFA Honours in Painting at the University of Manitoba. With an emphasis on the environment and human ecology, her work has gained wide recognition. She has received support from both MAC and WAC, including the Deep Bay Artists’ Residency, the Churchill Artists’ Residence, and the inaugural Nellie McClung Arts Legacy Award. She also received the Canadian Society for Civil Engineers Emerging Artist Award and was a finalist for the Salt Spring Island National Art Prize in October 2015. Megan teaches at the Community School of Music and the Arts and at the Winnipeg Art Gallery Studio. She recently joined the board for Mentoring Artists for Woman’s Art (MAWA) and is currently represented by Gurevich Fine Art in Winnipeg.
Megan currently resides in Winnipeg with her husband Jesse, and together they support each-others artistic endeavours.
