Bio
My story is summed up in three words: Broken to Bless. I was widowed at 35, with three adolescent children and a 6-month-old baby. I was so traumatized that life no longer seemed worth living. I had constant suicidal thoughts, and it was all I could do to just keep one foot in front of the other day by day. Through the years, though, I discovered that God was still there. Not that I'd ever lost faith in him, but as the years passed He brought people into my life to help me learn to live again.
Not that everything was rosy. I have regrets, but I've made peace with them and the people affected by them. Everyone makes mistakes. The important thing is you can't spend your life regretting them.
The one thing that has been a constant in my journey to wholeness has been writing. First journaling, then meditations, then readings on people in the Bible. I have two books available for sale: Biblical Portraits--readings and monologs based on people in the Gospels and El cochino negro--a book of short stories for Spanish students in levels two and three. Over the summer, I plan to come out with a companion book to the latter as well as the second book in both series. One will be a book of women in the Bible and the other will be short stories for Spanish students in the first year. I also will be writing a series of e-books on wholeness.
