Bio
My name is Melinda Beaulieu, and I’m a certified Health Coach through the Institute of Integrative Nutrition and Columbia Teachers College. I'm also a graduate of the Natural Gourmet Institute's Professional Chef Training program where I learned to cook for individuals with health challenges, spa cuisine, and raw foods (to name a few). I was also a contestant on a well-known cooking show. I didn't win, but the gal who did win truly deserved it! She was a retired nurse who parachuted into battle areas to help wounded soldiers (wow!). I was thrilled when she won. I'm a certified vinyasa power yoga and have studied herbalism with some of the industry greats. I enjoy learning about wild edibles and love looking for tasty treats while I am out hiking in the mountains. I'm that gal who will dig up a root, pick a random leaf or berry and start munching away while people who don't know me very well look on with disbelief.
I work with women who are stuck in a holding pattern on the journey to good health. The internet is filled with information about what to eat. What I've learned is the concept of bio-individuality. Every body is different. What works for me won't necessarily work for YOU. And what works for me in the summer sure doesn't work for me in the winter! I love coaching one on one because I get to go deeper. Together we explore different foods and recipes, complete exercises to “unstick” the mind, and explore self-care techniques to revitalize the body. Watching my clients journey is so rewarding to me – I think I learn as much from them as they do from me!
