Bio
Mervyn Kasiita West is an Award-Winning Software Engineer, Writer, Web & App Developer, Google Certified Digital Marketer, Entrepreneur and Mental Health Advocate.
He grew up in Nsambya – Kampala, went to Makerere University and is enrolled for Professional Certification in Web Programming at Harvard University’s HarvardX.
Presently, Kasiita is a self-employed Software Engineer at Klasoftec Inc – Software Development Company he founded in partnership with German Conglomerate EPL Software with a vision to create a more modern, elevated, and sustainable brand with better customer experience relating to website development, eCommerce Software and Web Hosting Services to Small Businesses in Kampala, Uganda.
Most notably Kasiita is the innovator and developer of KLASEARCH.COM – Uganda’s leading search engine and Internet business directory. He believes the internet is the new industrial revolution that will turn Africa into a Global Economic Powerhouse.
As Founder, Creative Director and Chief Executive Officer of Prestigia Brands Ltd – Internet Marketing and Branding company in Kampala, Uganda; Kasiita was nominated in the FOYA Global Awards Africa 2022 leading as the Most Promising Founder of Year in the Ugandan Category among other nominees from Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Rwanda, Zambia, South Africa, Ghana and Nigeria.
In addition, Prestigia Brands Ltd was nominated for SOYA 2022 – Start Up of the Year Awards Africa as recognized by Kenyan Business Magazine – The Founder.
Kasiita is also Editor-in-Chief of Prestigia Magazine an Online magazine for Business, Fashion. Beauty, Celebrity and Culture internet readers.
As a passionate Mental Health Advocate, Kasiita volunteers with Elesmode Production a Non-Government Organization to create Mental Health Awareness with use of the Internet to create a difference in our community and to make the world a better place for everyone.
