Bio
Liam Rider is a musician and amateur photographer from Kent, England. “Metal Grinder UK” is an outlet for his love of both writing and heavy metal.
Liam was born in Maidstone, Kent and was raised on a musical diet of grunge and hard rock in the early 90's. He stumbled across, and fell in love with, heavy metal in his early teens - and has never looked back.
He is a multi-instrumentalist, having taught himself guitar, bass guitar, drums and piano since the tender age of 10. He has performed with various bands as part of the music courses he studied at college, as well as spearheading his own band, formed in the early months of 2013.
His favorite bands include In Flames, Malefice, Trivium and Pantera.
In his spare time, he enjoys listening to and writing music, performing with his band, and improving his skills at photography - covering a wide variety of subjects, from wildlife to live bands.
