Born and raised in California, Micah studied and earned his B.A. in photography and graphic arts from Point Loma Nazarene University, Keller Visual Arts Center. His work is internationally recognized by the BBC on his coverage of Southern Sudan and his work is award winning.
He has extensively covered Central and East Africa, notably DR Congo and Sudan. He has documented and published work on disabilities awareness in public schools, Sudanese IDP & refugee camps, HIV/AIDS awareness in Kenya, active war zones in Sudan, micro-loan programs in remote villages in South Kivu Congo, slum life in war torn Bukavu, Congo and life in insurgent controlled Masisi in North Kivu Congo to name a few.
He is represented internationaly by the Associated Press, Redux Images, & ZUMA Press
