Bio
I'm an Englishman living in Italy with an Italian wife and two sons (and a grown-up son in England from a previous marriage). I grew up with two brothers, an older cousin being the only girl in our extended family. I also went to a boys-only school, so you san see to some extent why I'm fascinated by femininity. I would love to have had a daughter to try out sweet hairstyles, choose pretty clothes and accessories, get immersed in the worlds of girls' activities and friendships, help her grow up to be a young woman.
I know the majority of the visitors to this blog are female, some probably with their own daughters, and they are no doubt smiling ruefully to themselves, thinking "If only he knew what little girls are really like!"
Clearly I've come across the usual number of little girls - my sons' friends, classmates, activities and sports companions, friends' daughters, etc., and I'm fully aware that little girls can be as naughty, irritating (and even smelly!) as little boys if they want to be.
I'll leave the psychology to other blogs, and admit that here I'm only dealing with external superficiality, even though I do try to gain some kind of insight into the subjects from their expressions and gestures.
The adjectives you'll see a lot of are cute, pretty, lovely, gorgeous, beautiful etc., as I concentrate on the physical aspect of the girls in the images, rendered particularly beautiful by the lighting, clothes, settings and the ability of the amateur and professional photographers involved.
P.S. I realise that in posting images of children you have to be particularly responsible and careful. If I find, for example, a picture of a little girl in a bikini playing on the beach, or a young teen whose breasts are budding under her top (as is normal for the age) talking to her friends, and I like the shot, then only if I'm sure there are no sexual nuances in the content or the intent of the photographer, will I post it.
P.P.S. I'd like to express my admiration for Caroline Moore, the creator of "Fiore", this blog's theme. It really is perfect for bringing out the best in the particular type of images I post-
