Bio
Born and raised in northern Utah. Michael graduated with a degree in microbiology and theater from Weber University. Attached to the Entertainment Section of the U. S. Army, he directed live theater and managed entertainment shows for the troops. Today he is a Chemical Dependency Professional who works with addicts and their families. In his down time Michael writes his stories.
His book: The Compete Mystery of Matthew Alcott: HERITAGE OF SECRETS won two awards and piqued the indignation of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles in Salt Lake City for writing a suspense fiction using the cultural environment of Mormonism as the backdrop of his story just as Dan Brown did with the Cardinals of Rome in the Da Vinci Code.
Michael is a member of the Willamette Writers Association, Portland, Oregon. He resides with his sweetheart of 25 years in Bellevue, WA.
My film script, Shepherding Cassie, recently won Third Place at Cannes.
This is my fourth film script. It has been advanced to the finals in six film-script competitions at film festivals. It placed Best Scene in two festivals, received an Outstanding Achievement Award at Calcutta FF, received a Second Place at Socially Relevant FF in New York, and now a Third Place at Cannes.
Author: The complete Mystery of Matthew Alcott (Fiction/Novel) winner two awards.
