Melissa Bowers is a Midwesterner in CA. Her essays can be found in publications such as The Boston Globe Magazine, Scary Mommy, HuffPost, and The Writer. Her fiction appears or is forthcoming in Pidgeonholes, CHEAP POP, Fractured Lit, and Barren Magazine, among others, and Susanna Kaysen recently awarded her the 2020 Breakwater Review Fiction Prize.
