As an oldies deejay, my weekly show — Mickey Bo's Rock 'n' Roll Revue — spreads the joy of the early rock and rhythm years — tunes from late 1940s R&B through its evolution to rock 'n' roll in the early '50s up until the British invasion of the mid-'60s. No anxiety-laden message music here, folks — just good danceable tunes from when the backbeat was in full flower. It's rock all the way down to its roots.
