Bio
Miguel Tejada-Flores is a screenwriter whose first produced script, ‘Revenge of the Nerds’, became both a commercial success and a cult classic. His film writing credits range from dark epic sci-fi (‘Screamers’) to psychological suspense (‘The Unsaid’) to horror (‘Fright Night II’); he has created stories for the big screen and the small, including movies and series for Showtime, USA Networks and the Sci-Fi Channel. Miguel studied literature at the University of California, Santa Cruz and at the Sorbonne in Paris, before studying filmmaking at the London Film School. His professional film career includes stints working as a Story Analyst, Production Executive and Producer for a number of Studios and major “Indie” production companies. Miguel collaborates frequently with international directors on different continents; recent projects have taken him to Barcelona, Montreal, Newfoundland, Amsterdam and Mexico. Miguel makes his home in a 108 year old farmhouse in Southern Oregon where the exigencies of chopping firewood and shoveling snow occasionally give him much-needed reminders of the practical sides of existence.
