Bio
My name is Mike Naypauer and I to say I’m a Travel Enthusiast is a bit of an understatement. I am on a mission to see as much of the world as I can. So far I have been able to see much of the Continental United States, the Hawaiian Islands, most of the Caribbean, a small taste of South America and this year my family and I finally crossed the pond to Europe.
I can never get enough and am typically planning 2 to 3 trips ahead. I want to see as much of the world as I can. Time, money and my desire to return to places I love are the main obstacles that stand in my way.
Unfortunately I can’t just quit my job and travel year round so there isn’t too much I can do about the time obstacle. Over recent years I am branching out and resisting that urge to return to familiar favorites. Each return trip is a an opportunity lost to explore somewhere new.
The one part I have really excelled at is in the cost part of traveling. Since I have not been able to materially increase what I make I realized I needed to figure out ways to travel for less. That is where my passion for mastering the art of flying and staying for free began.
In 2014 our family had a banner year and were able to fly to Orlando, Hawaii, Barcelona, and Fort Lauderdale for free. Not only did we fly for free but we stayed in the Presidential Suite of the Hilton Waikola for free, which was the most amazing room I had ever stayed in. The room was 3,000 square feet, bigger than our house! I could have lived there.
In 2015 we are going to visit Northern California in the spring and are working up something BIG for the summer. Also my wife and want to do something special for our 20th wedding anniversary next November.
I have a lot of ground to cover in the years ahead. I started this blog for several reasons.
To share my love of travel with fellow travel enthusiasts
To inspire people to travel more and try new places
To educate and inform people about the how to travel for less
To entertain
To learn – I am hoping you will join me and leave your own tips, tricks and stories
To work with you on a one on one basis to help you accomplish your travel goals
Please join me on this journey,
Your Travel Valet,
Mike
