Milliness hats is a luxury hat brand designed and hand-made by Jessica Fortin, based in Toronto, Canada.
Jessica began making hats in 2011 while completing her Bachelors in Fine Arts at Emily Carr University. Originally sparked by the necessity to design and sew her own costumes for live performances, millinery became an outlet for artistic expression and a continual exploration of the intersection of historical and contemporary fashion.
Jessica has more than 5 years industry experience gained working as a Shopkeeper and Custom Hat Maker for Goorin Bros. Hats.
Milliness Hats was launched in 2014. Jessica seeks to continually challenge herself by expanding her traditional millinery skills into feather work, couture sewing techniques and tambour beadwork. Each piece is created with a focus on meticulous craftsmanship to dramatize and delight.
