Bio
I started this blog when I was teaching English in Iquique, Chile in 2009 for four months with my wife Emily. We were there as volunteers with English Opens Doors program and both teaching at pre-k-8 public schools. This was our second experience teaching English abroad. We spent 2005-2008 as part of the JET Programme, living in Sapporo, Hokkaido, Japan. The kurionekamakura section of this blog covers our life in Japan. After Japan, we returned to living and working in Yellowstone National Park until 2012. Earning a M.A. in History took us to Missoula, MT for three years. In 2014, we began living summer/falls in the ghost town of Ashcroft, CO. Presently, we are living in Birmingham, AL.
