Bio
Thanks so much for checking out my blog!
My name is Misti. I am happily married to my husband of 8 years. Together we have 2 beautiful daughters, Aislyn and Charlee. We were truly blessed to be chosen as their parents. Although there are days we have to remind ourselves of this! Just kidding! Well kinda lol
I am someone who struggled with my weight my entire life, or at least for as long as I can remember. I remember always feeling bigger than my friends and very self conscious around them. I viewed food as the enemy and developed poor eating habits from a young age. As I got older I would go days eating next to nothing in an attempt to lose weight and look like my friends. I took diet pills, did 48 hour juice cleanses, limited myself to 500 calories a day, etc to lose weight. Swimsuit and formal dress shopping was never fun for me. It was something I dreaded because I knew it would inevitably end in tears.
As I got older, (around the age of 23 I would say) I finally developed what I thought was a healthy lifestyle. I spent 2 hours a day 5-6 days a week in the gym taking boot camp and spin classes and follow d a very strict eating plan. This worked for a while. I felt better than I had ever felt and was finally developing some confidence. At the age of 25, after 2 years of infertility and miscarriages, I became pregnant with my oldest daughter.
LONNNNG STORY SHORT -- I gained a ton of weight due to a very unhealthy pregnancy. 60+ pounds to be exact. I completely avoided the scale during my pregnancy and thought the weight would magically fall off after I gave birth. HA! WAS I EVER WRONG! I quickly discovered it was not going anywhere fast. I breastfed, which I thought would also help the weight come off! It didn't work that way for me. I was depressed, anxious, hated to leave my house, didn't want to be in pictures with my beautiful baby girl, I didn't even look in the mirror when I passed it because I was so disgusted with myself. How did I let this happen?? I realized that I wasn't going to be able to live in the gym like I basically did before having my daughter and had no idea what else to do. I knew that diet pills and starvation were no longer an option though. My sweet girl deserved me to be better than that. ‼️
Now let's fast forward about 4 years. I am 60 pounds lighter even after giving birth to a second beautiful girl a year ago. My husband, whose story I didn't talk about has also dropped some lbs... 114 lbs to be exact! He won $27,000 for his weight loss transformation! IT STILL DOESN'T SEEM REAL!
So how have we lost over 170 lbs combined? At home workouts, proper nutrition, and support from others on the same journey. It's as simple as that. Was it always easy? HECK NO! Was it worth it? HECK YES! We are in the best shape of our lives, setting a good example for our children, and have an awesome "chunk of change" to begin building our forever home with.
If you are interested in getting started on the journey to a happier, healthier you than PLEASE check out my contact information, shoot me an e-mail or Facebook message and I will get in touch with you. It wouldn't be right of me to not pay this forward. It has truly changed our lives and can do the same for you
