Bio
Mi Wild Kitchen & Home is about all the things I love doing. Cooking, baking, fishing, hunting, gardening, foraging, wood projects, home improvement, DIY, self sufficiency and loads of other things.
As far back as I can remember the kitchen was the place to be. It was always the heart of the home growing up, at my grandparents, at my aunty and uncles and at our house. Food was one of the things that brought us all together. Many gatherings consisted of hovering over someone's shoulder at the stove hoping for a taste or helping mix up ingredients and sneaking a taste. Later, working in several culinary settings allowed me to hone my love for the Art. Growing up in Northern Lower Michigan allows me ample space to be outdoors and enjoy all of Mother Natures gifts. Seasonal cooking and foraging paired with our shorter growing season brings me the opportunity to share how I cook, bake and stock the pantry for cold months ahead.
It is my hope in sharing these projects, recipes and experiences that they will bring you closer to your Home. It's what has inspired me to share with others and how Mi Wild Kitchen & Home was born.
