Bio
Welcome! Here I hope that you find peace and comfort that you are not alone and struggling by yourself! Everyone has their stories to be told.....I will tell you a little bit of mine.
I am a 40-year old, stay-at-home mom of nine children; three biological; five adopted and one that is soon to be adopted. My husband and I have been together for six years; married four of those. We met when I was 16 and things went awry, then reconnected through Facebook in 2010 and here we are today. The ages of the children range from 20 years old to two years old in December 2016.
We live in a small town in rural part of Kansas where the noise isn't the hustle and bustle of the city but of the children getting ready for school, playing sports or working on 4-H projects; the traffic you are most likely to hear is the pitter-patter foot traffic of the kids running around playing with their baby brother and the only "shots fired" you hear are the children and/or neighbors target practicing.
Our home is a small two-story farm house set on about five acres that is small yet somehow big enough for us. We raise chickens (one 4-H project); we have two dogs, Zeus, he is four years old and a mix of German Shepherd and Rottweiler; Roscoe he is about three or four, rescued and is a Boxer/Terrier mix. Both of the boys are great with the children. We couldn't have asked for better pups. Then we have five cats, four Toms and one inside Female. A 10-year old rabbit, named Sugar. Then there was a time we raised our own cattle until head prices became too high for us to be able to afford to raise and butcher.
