Bio
I love books - reading and writing them! Described by one of my children as a 'book writing machine', I have always loved to write. My early childhood stories about princesses, fairies and goblins inspired by authors such as Enid Blyton and May Gibbs evolved to teenage soap operas and adventure stories inspired by Trixie Beldon, Sweet Valley High and my own experiences.
While studying a Commerce university degree, I wrote my first unpublished piece for friends and family based on when I worked a governess on a sheep station in outback Queensland.
After an epiphany on a train late one night in Sydney, I changed my university studies from numbers to words. I returned to the harsh outback Queensland heat to start my media career before moving south to the flat, arid landscape of Western Victoria to work in a busy newspaper newsroom.
When my first child was six months old I started my own media company. Through my journalism career and my own business, I have written stories on just about every topic. My stories about people are widely recognised as my true heart and I have published several non-fiction books. My fiction writing is inspired by my own family's personal missing persons tragedy, and my goal is to raise awareness around the world through fiction about the impact on families and friends when someone goes missing. My debut novel Write About Me is a #1 bestseller. I am now working on the Detective Rhiannon McVee crime mystery series which so far includes FIND ME, When You Find Me & You'll Never Find Me.
