Bio
Okay, so my semi-interesting story is that I grew up in the thriving Dutch metropolis of Grand Rapids, MI. Rebelliously, I went far, far away to an even more underwhelming town of Valparaiso, IN in order to educate myself in the ways of music teaching. Someone must have been smiling upstairs, though, because of that decision and the stynt at Valpo introduced me to the greatest person in the world. Or at least I think so.
My wife and I met in band (that's right baby. Band. it's the new football. We're cool like that.) and have been together since then. We got married in January of 2006 and now have 2 dogs and a little person who is supposed to arrive around June 18th.
We recently bought a house and now live on the South Side of Chicago, in the Beverly neighbourhood. As in 'Hills, that is'. However, here, the South Side stereotypes do not hold true! I 1) Hate the White Sox, b) am not Irish, and iii) am not Catholic. Oh, and we're broke. That's right. Broke. But, I've still got my Lutheran Dutchness and my Cubs to keep me company. Life is good.
