Bio
I have been fortunate to hold a number of very interesting jobs over the years - jobs including newspaper reporter (twice), restaurant/retail store manager, restaurant multi-unit manager, a Christian bookstore manager, pastor, video store manager and as a funeral home employee. My most recent previous jobs included being a news editor, a civil war book editor and a programs specialist/grant writer. I am now the Mississippi County, Arkansas Public Affairs Director.
I have three college degrees (from Arkansas State University and Arkansas Northeastern College) including a Master of Arts in history.
I spend all of my non-work time with the sweetest woman I’ve ever met. Her name is Lillie Caroline. Together we have four children (all now adult). My wife is without a doubt the answer to my many years of fervent prayer. I have never been happier than I am now.
In my free time, I enjoy writing, reading, traveling (especially to historic/civil war sites), learning, intellectual discussion and singing. We live an hour north of Memphis and we love “walking in Memphis, ten feet off of Beale” as often as we can.
