Bio
I’m a Sydney based PUBLIC SPEAKING AND PRESENTATIONS COACH, with 25 years experience presenting information professionally. Long ago I was an english teacher, but moved into managing arts and cultural organizations and onto a career path that has included museums, orchestras, public affairs, issues management, and leadership in professional services, non-profits and government.
Working in such varied environments has taught me how to get information to audiences in ways they understand. I can craft a message and present it persuasively to officials, politicians, board members, executives, and experts. It’s a skill I delight in passing on to others.
I still love mentoring and working with young people. I’m on the staff of The Scots College where I train student debaters and public speakers. I’m convener of Sydney’s Archdale Debating Competition for girls. I’m on the Board of the Australian Theatre for Young People and was formerly Director of Gondwana Choirs, the national children’s choir.
I went to Sydney University, where I teach in their Centre for Continuing Eduction. I have a Masters degree in Public Policy and a BA DipEd. Contact me: boss@speak4yourself.com.au
