Bio
My name is Chester Wallace and I was born into a diverse artistic background in Morgan City, Louisiana. My mother was an accomplished dancer and my father a multi-dimensional artist. This coupling of spiritual gifts help to lay the foundation for my current music career. One of my cherished experiences was performing vocals with his college choral group at Carnegie Hall in New York City. I earned a scholarship and received my A.A. degree from Edison Community College and then auditioned with the highly competitive music department at FSU, where I earned his B.S. degree in Music. I later followed with a second B.S. degree in Music Education at the University of Central Florida in Orlando, Florida. I've always loved history so I decided to start writing about historical subjects about five years ago as a free lance writer. Since I live in Marietta, Georgia, close to Atlanta, I became interested in researching the most devastating hotel fire in United States history, the Winecoff Hotel fire. I've written two books. My first was about the Winecoff fire called Stories of the Winecoff Fire: A Dedication to the Memory of the 119 and my second was about my grandfather, who was a World War II pilot and Louisiana Sheriff called Two Wings and a Star: The Life and Times of Sheriff Chester Baudoin. I also enjoy movies, reading and spending time with my two dogs Huey and Luna.
