Bio
This blog follows field work in India, Australia and Pakistan for my practice led PhD project that explored peripatetic art practice. The project took place through the School of Art and Design at the Australian National University. Working across media of painting, film and sound, and disciplines of art and anthropology, I used a peripatetic, social and immersive methodology as a way encountering people, whom I got to know and who often shared their stories.
This blogs begins in 2013 as, having completed the first year of research in Canberra, Australia, I set out to conduct the second and third phases of fieldwork in India and then Pakistan. It follows the making of two scroll paintings practically and through reflection on the unfolding field journey.
