Bio

I am a regular person who got deeply interested in waste management in the last couple of years. One of the products which are very useful, but at the same time very environmentally unfriendly when they become “waste” is plastic. In these couple of years, I became aware of the amount of plastics that I use in my daily life. It was a process for me to learn the devastating effects of plastic pollution on our environment. After learning about the amount of plastics going into the oceans, passing through our food cycle and showing up in the food on our plates, I started to reduce down the one-way plastics that I used to be using. I would have loved to say that I reached “zero waste” but unfortunately, I couldn’t. But in this process, I have learned a lot about different types of plastics that exist in our daily lives. That is why I wanted to start this blog and talk about different types of products containing plastic that I use in my daily life and give some information about them such as; which type of plastic material does it contain, is this material recyclable, what happens to it after we throw it away etc. Since I am not a material scientist I can’t really go into deep metallurgical information and I also don’t want to bore everyone with too much detail 😊 So the type of information I will be giving will just be enough to create some awareness about the effect that we are creating on the environment by using those products.
