Bio
I am a retired professional basketball player that has lived in, and traveled to many different parts of the world. My travels have taken me to Sweden, Finland, Germany, Israel, Korea, Holland, Italy, Ukraine, Dubai, Argentina and Australia. Basketball has provided me a world of growth and experience in other cultures and people. These experiences have created an ongoing desire to continue to learn myself by learning about others.
Basketball was my outlet to stay out of trouble in the inner city streets of Cleveland, Ohio. Drugs, gangs, and other negative activity surrounded me, but my love for the game and excellent family support overcame the negativity. My God given talent landed me a full ride athletic scholarship to Indiana State University. After a successful collegiate career, I was again presented with an opportunity to continue playing as a professional player internationally. 12 seasons, 11 different lived in countries, and 5 continents later, here I stand, confident, passionate and ready to pass on experience!
Over the course of my career I realized that my passion for the game of basketball didn’t end at playing. My post-basketball plans are to instruct, educate, and mentor all over the world and hopefully provide that ray of hope that shined through to me as a child. Helping people realize their potential and the endless realm of opportunity is my new dream, Shooting Starz Academy and Foundation is how that dream will become reality. COME SOAR WITH ME!!
