Bio
I'm a freelance publicity and PR writer, and a publishing industry veteran. I specialize in writing press releases, pitch letters, jacket copy, case studies, and other materials to help publicize, position, and market books and promote small businesses. Since launching my niche career 16 years ago, I have written at least 2,000 press releases for books spanning every genre, including business management, self-help, memoir, current events, history, health and fitness, and fiction. My clients include AMACOM (the book division of the American Management Association), Harper Collins, Simon & Schuster, and MOUTH Public Relations, among several PR firms. I juggle working from home with the challenges of parenting a teenager. In 2007, I became a first-time mom in midlife through adopting a bright, beautiful, and amazingly energetic 9-year-old girl from foster care.
