(STYLE) SIMPLY STATED
Naima Turner Bio
(STYLE) SIMPLY STATED is a style consulting and media company, launched and developed by Naima Turner, a contributing fashion stylist, market editor and fashion writer.
Ms. Turner has styled fashion segments behind-the-scenes for national television shows such as: The Today Show (NBC); The View (ABC); and A Movie and A Makeover (TBS).
While working for her mentor and former boss, Lloyd Boston, Ms. Turner was introduced to the literary world of fashion. Some of her book credits include: senior researcher for Boston’s second book, Make Over Your Man (Broadway Books); and for his third book, Before You Put That On (Atria), Ms. Turner created the book title and styled the book’s cover. Before You Put That On also includes an interview with Ms. Turner where she offers insight on different types of shopping characteristics.
Prior to working as a fashion stylist/market editor, Ms. Turner worked as a fashion publicist for a Public Relations and Marketing company called, The Bromley Group. While working as a publicist her clients were FRYE boots, Ugg Australia, Glo Jeans and Simple Shoes.
Through her experiences, Ms. Turner has developed a niche to develop trend and style news and the ability to enhance one’s style image. She has recently developed an on-line presence with two new blogs: Saige, an eco-fashion and lifestyle blog; and Style Pooh-bah’s, a blog that features daily style and fashion news and style picks; weekly interviews with fashion, style and beauty icons; and news about up and coming designers to watch.
Because Ms. Turner loves translating trends and personalizing looks for everyday people and equally enjoys her styling and editing work for television, print and on-line media, the two worlds were brought together and (STYLE) SIMPLY STATED by Naima Turner was born.
Naima Turner is a graduate of the renowned Fashion Institute of Technology, in New York City.
