Bio
As a mother of two adult sons, I know and understand the challenges of inner-city, on our Students. As an Educator, Social Service Provider, and Student of Life, I am thankful for the opportunity to provide support to our Achieve-meant Students. I look forward to putting my Illinois Substitute Teacher's Certification experience (K-12) to use - supporting our Students. I envision utilizing my own Online experience in Public Administration and Nonprofit Management (at, the Graduate Level) to ensure Students receive the best Online support experience.
As a Biology major, undergrad, my aspirations were to study Medicine, and become a Physician. My dream of practicing medicine has led me to work in the community, with many different populations. Though I did not pursue a career in Medicine, I worked for several years in Social Services, as a Case Manager - with Senior Services, Adult Mental Mental Health, and a program of Healthy Families America (ensuring, our children met healthy milestones, thriving).
These experiences, along with substitute teaching, providing me interim experiences with grading standardized tests at the elementary and high school levels. My approach to teaching is more conceptual. I feel the student needs to understand how to arrive at the right answer - and not necessarily "just achieve it".
