Finally!!! I am excited to restart cooking after a long time. This blog will be a collection of my recipes that I try out from different cuisines. To start off with a little information about my self, I am Anu and I live in a beautiful, small city in Germany. As a kid, I never cooked back in India, but after I moved to Germany, I started cooking and it did not take long to realized how much I loved and enjoyed cooking. I sometimes find myself cooking at even 2 am or 3 am in the night. For me, cooking is the best technique to release any stress.
I choose the name, Nekko’s Kitchen, after my cute kitty. I love her a lot and every time I look at her cute picture, I cannot stop smiling. She is no longer with us, but we will always keep loving her and missing her.
Coming to my cooking, I try all kinds of recipes. My experiments with ingredients, often depend on what’s in the refrigerator. In south of India, we cook a lot of spicy food which is very colorful. I also believe that food that looks good, tastes good as well. Main reason to create this blog, is to store them all at one place. This way I can browse these recipes anywhere and at anytime as long as I have internet :). Second reason -> Could share my recipes with anyone interested in some tasty, delicious Indian food.
The funny story behind how it all started: I got an SLR camera as a gift from my hubby on my birthday. I totally loved it and stared taking pictures of everything I saw, specially my cat and the food that I made. Later, when I started looking at the pictures, I thought that it would be a good idea to post them on a blog, add recipes and share them with my family. My mom was so proud that I am able to cook these good dishes, given that I had no experience with cooking whatsoever.
I will try to cook different types of recipes from different countries. So far, I tried various cuisines Indian, French, Italian, Thai, Chinese, etc,. I am still learning and will probably keep learning more fun and interesting recipes. :)!
