Bio
Ran away from the rat race a number of years ago and planted myself in the mountains. Was a reporter, editor, columnist and ran three Chicago suburban newspapers before coming to my senses and moving into the slow lane. Good thing I did as good local papers are becoming as scarce as an eight-track tape. Newsy1 was my old Chicago area license plate so I thought I would dust it off and turn it into a blog. I freelance for many AOL sites, travel magazines and blog about current news, old news and news that's fit to print-or not. I am the author of Widows Like Me on Amazon. Thanks for stopping by.
