Bio
Nick Stern grew up in Hertfordshire (United Kingdom). He taught himself photography during his 20’s.
In 1994 Stern started working as a freelance news photographer.
Stern’s first nationally published photograph was used on the front page of The Sun, Britain's best selling daily paper, with a circulation of over 3 million.
As a freelance photographer Stern has travelled throughout Europe, Africa, Eastern Europe, Asia and the USA, covering subjects including people trafficking, child prostitution, immigration, and civil unrest. He has also photographed many of the leading names in the entertainment industry.
In 2000 he founded First News Ltd., An independent agency, with a strong background in investigation assignments.
He is a member of the British Press photographers Association ( UK ) and the National Press Photographers Association ( USA ).
Since 2007 Stern has divided his time between Los Angeles and London.
