Dear Nigerians and friends of Nigeria, the Nigeria Centenary Social Media Team
welcomes you to its official Blog page. In the coming weeks and months, we
shall be postings news, updates and information of (and relating to) the year-long series of events (expos, seminars etc).
Visitors to this platform will also get to understand the essence of the centenary
celebrations and centenary city projects, which will create thousands of job
opportunities. As we do these, we also welcome your feedback and insights on

General Information
'Nigeria' was born on January 1, 1914 by the amalgamation of the Northern and
Southern protectorates of the former British colony. Hence January 1, 2014 marks
100 years of her union. The objective of our Centenary celebration is to
commemorate our unity, distinctiveness, common destiny and identity. To celebrate
as the largest black nation in the world, blessed with abundant human and
natural resources capable of leading in the world economy
