Bio
As a Registered Polarity Practitioner and Educator, I consider my sessions as sacred moments where people can experience their center, acknowledge and release emotions, cleanse and rejuvenate their “body- mind-spirit” towards wholeness. Polarity improves energy, creates balance, releases pain, supports healthier diet and reduces stress. My focus is working with the energy that underlies all matter to promote balance and health. Through the awareness of our vital energy (prana or chi), manifesting in our body, and the balance of the three currents and five elements; deep healing, peace and transformation is realized. I teach APP, RPP and RPE certification programs to polarity students at Earthwise Inc., where I received my training from Dr. Damon Fazio. I also enjoy teaching vegetarian cooking classes throughout the year. I’ve been an APTA member since 1996.
I counsel other’s in holistic life-style, which is based on Ayurveda, “the science of life”. It is one of the oldest systems of healing (over 5000 years) with it's root in India. Ayurveda is a consciousness-based approach to living. It is in harmony with sustainable “green” living and with preservation of Nature. With it’s many modalities: herbs, nutrition, therapeutic treatments known as Panchakarma (five actions); Ayurveda cleanses and enhances the body systems. This balance helps in nurturing the mind. Mind and body are a single unit. Similarly, Yoga and Ayurveda are branches of the same tree. I received certification in Ayurvedic Life-Style Counseling from Dr. David Frawley, director of American Institute of Vedic Studies and certification as an Ayurvedic Wellness Practitioner from Dr. Jayarajan Kodikannath, academy director of Kerala Ayurveda.
I am a Yoga Practitioner and teach that yoga brings union within the body by stabilizing the mind. Since mind is in between the body and higher consciousness, stabilizing it brings the mental rhythm into correct balance. This direct effect on the mind works hand -in-hand with the effort from the physical postures -which then nurture the whole system. I completed the 200 hr. Teacher’s Training with Zoreh Afsarzadeh and Kim Schwartz at High Desert Yoga. I have had many spiritual teachers of Meditation and I teach others as I have been taught at various workshops during the year.
As a Sound Therapist, I use Tibetan bowls, tuning forks, binaural frequencies, and mantra in my sessions. I have a Master’s in Music Education from University of Bridgeport in CT. I teach that sound is a nutrient of the nervous system and I have studied with many sound healers from around the world. I love to lead others in Kirtan (sacred chanting) and hold sacred circles in my home. My certification as a Medicinal Herbalist was with Dr. Tieraona Low Dog in 1994 and I am a certified Reiki Master since 1995.
Holistic health is for everyone. Small changes in life-style go a long way as well as the big ones. Let’s work together to create a healthier you-now.
Be Well,
Cindy Wagner, AWP, MS, RPP, RPE.
