Bio
“I fell, now I am up, dusted off and ready!” This is my motto motto. Bronx born and raised, I discovered my love for food when I opened up a cookbook at the age of nine. My mami became my greatest inspiration when she would have me help her cook in the kitchen and my first dish was Welch Rarebit. As I grew older, my inspiration list grew…with the likes of Julia Child, Jacques Pepin and the galloping gourmet. Being a Bronxite Nuyorican I often found myself in libraries looking at different cookbooks...and at the age of 13, baked and sold pound cakes….thus sky-rocketing my love for baking. My love for all cultures has broadened my love for food. As an adult, I moved to New Orleans where I unintentionally picked up the accent, along with the love for Cajun cooking. Now, lost in Connecticut, I am writing a cookbook of my own…blending in my culture with those I loves so much!! “The only real stumbling block is fear of failure. In cooking you've got to have a what-the-hell attitude.” ― Julia Child
