Bio
There is much to tell, so "discover" me via my posts and blogs.
My life journey has brought me from the depths of an underground coal mine as a former safety inspector to a 30 year career as a Registered Nurse where I specialized (with Board Certified) in wound care. I know what it’s like to BE the patient as well as taking care of others. I know we grow stronger every time we overcome hurdles and so I continue to move forward, refusing to quit in spite of obstacles.
I’ve had a pretty amazing journey up to this point. I have raised and educated 2 children (as well as myself) as a single parent. My children are now college graduates with successful careers and families of their own. I know something about living through and overcoming adversity
There is much to discover and I have embarked on a journey to do just that. I’ve traveled most of the U.S. and have done volunteer medical mission work in Brazil, Russia and Ecuador. I’ve done disaster relief in Louisiana after Katrina (2 trips) and in West Liberty, KY. I’ve been to some amazing places for fun and my “bucket list” will never be empty of the new adventures I’d like to have.
