Bio
I’m a wife and mother of two beautiful children. I’ve been riding the crazy up and down waves of the mortgage banking industry for over 12 years. In 2009, my world was turned upside down. We were expecting our second child. Our joy came to a swift end which included a ride in the ambulance to the nearest hospital. It was an emotional roller coaster to say the least! Unbeknownst to me, I was carrying twins! Was....because I lost one of the babies. This led to months of bed rest and a host of other issues which included not being able to work. Did I mention that we had just moved from Maryland to St. Louis, Missouri with our 10 month old?! The after effects were devastating. My husband hadn’t been able to find work yet, we were living off of our savings and we had to make the choice: have food, clothes and diapers or pay bills. Well, I don’t think I have to explain what we chose. How could this happen to us? We went from having 800 credit scores to under 620. Guess what? Bad things happen to good people. The good thing is that doesn’t have to be the end of your story. You can get back on your feet. We did! I have made it my personal mission to educate others on how to raise their credit score in order to increase their buying power.
