Bio
Your blogging bibliophile currently lives in Huntington Beach, California, but her soul yearns for the wilderness. Good books, cozy nooks and a fireplace will do me fine until I can settle into a more rustic location.
Being raised in a Cuban household my life is filled with savory foods, hip swaying music, family bonds, and literature that has been passed down generation after generation. I believe it's important to keep my culture alive and am always trying to evoke my family's past by keeping true to our traditions. Staying connected to my roots by incorporating them into my everyday life makes me feel fulfilled and encourages me to create traditions of my own. I like to think that my kindred spirit is not only a mix of my heritage, but a piecing together of all the great characters I've come to know through the novels that I've read. With a love of literature in mind I am now delving into my quest as a writer as I pursue a career in librarianship, and find myself feeling more alive than ever.
My passions include creating experimental concoctions with herbal remedies, eating fresh produce grown from my own backyard, the arts and great outdoors, reading anything I can get my hands on, traveling the world and learning about different cultures. I connect with my passions through writing, allowing me to express and share the beauty of the world and the different perspectives around me.
