Bio
I am an inner westie of Sydney, 40, married two years ago, and I started this blog to document the road to conception with my lovely husband, aka hub-in-boots. After 10 months of trying we found we faced infertility issues, underwent two rounds of IVF, and were surprised to be expecting! And then the complications started....a sub chorionic haematoma (read 5 giant oh-my-god-the-world-is-ending bleeds) that grew and grew and grew to 60mls, bed rest since January 2012 for months and months, giving up work early, high risk of downs sydnrome and a CVS placental biopsy test (all ok), gestational diabetes at 14 weeks, high risk of loss, high risk of pre term labour. After months of drama, and to our huge relief, "Gumby" became Jensen Angus, or the J-man, on Aug 2nd 2012 without any complications, and finally we are a family.
When I have a life, I work in uni education, and write in my spare time. I'm interested in books and literature, movies, I play music and sing, and we both love eating out, going to bands and plays and writers' festivals. Hub-in-boots cannot sing. Or dance. Really. He has a warped sense of humour, and he's good at running. And eating.
