Bio
Mimi Vitetta is an is an archivist and preservation specialist focused on personal archives, photographic materials, and memory-based collections. She holds a Master of Library and Information Science (MLIS) and a Master of Fine Arts (MFA) from the San Francisco Art Institute, where her research and creative practice examined photography, memory, and cultural preservation. She is the founder of Paperdoll Preservation, a practice dedicated to the organization, digitization, and long-term care of family archives, diaspora collections, and digital legacy materials. Her work integrates archival ethics, descriptive standards, and conservation-informed workflows with a sensitivity to the cultural and emotional dimensions of personal records. Her interests include diaspora archives, intergenerational memory, and the theory and practice of personal archiving. Based in Northern California.
