Bio
Paula Jones,
"Sells Abilene by the Yard!"
I've loved living in Abilene for over 18 years of my life. Growing up in West and Waco, TX, I came to Abilene Christian University in 1977 where I met my husband, Hutton Jones. After graduating with a business/marketing degree from ACU, I added a secondary education degree which allowed me to teach English for many years in Oklahoma and Texas.
After being away from Abilene for ten years, ACU called my husband to come take the head coaching job for the men and women's tennis teams. We were delighted! We'd always wanted to "come back home" and raise our 3 children in Abilene.
Today, we've been back in Abilene for 12 years and are members of Highland Church of Christ. Two of our children are at ACU, and the other is an ACU graduate.
Upon returning to Abilene, I taught school at Abilene Christian Schools for a few years before making a life-changing decision to sell real estate...and I've never looked back. What has impressed me the most about working in real estate is the tremendous opportunity to be a servant to others, to really help someone in what can be a very stressful venture. My job is to make that venture as easy and smooth as possible.
In dealing with my clients, I try to really listen to their needs and wants. Deciphering what can or can't be compromised is the tricky part--especially when a husband and wife don't agree! I also spend as much time as needed showing my clients different homes in different areas. Many times, clients don't know what they want until they see it!
Being brutally honest is another strong point I have....and this is sometimes hard to do. But, if you are my client, and your house is dirty, I'm going to tell you. On the flip side, if you are my buyer, and a house is overpriced, I"ll let you know about it. Looking out for my client's interest is my number one priority. I am never just out to "make a sale." Treating others the way I'd like to be treated is how I do business...it's called "The Golden Rule!"
I specialize in any kind of real estate whether it's executive homes, first-time home-buyers, military relocation, estates, or commercial. They all get equal time. Being an expert in all kinds of real estate is my profession, and, as a professional, it's my responsibility to be an expert!
Currently, I hold the Realtor designations of ABR (Accredited Buyer Representative), GRI (Graduate Realtor Institute), and ASP (Accredited Staging Professional.) I'm also honored be a RE/MAX Platinum Club Award Winner for three consecutive years--one of the highest awards given out by RE/MAX of Texas and RE/MAX International.
If you are looking for a home to buy, I can be a big help. Feel free to just email me your criteria, and I'll send you what's out there and new listings as they hit our market--a free service! If you are thinking of selling, I'd love to come see your home & do a free market analysis, establishing a selling value for today's market. Great customer service for your biggest investment is my first priority--7 days a week, so give me a call! I'm here to help.
