Bio
When my grandmother, Penny Viscardis, moved to Branson in 1998, she brought all of her creative talents and business skills with her from Louisiana. Upon moving to Branson, she saw a need in the hospitality/travel industry and began her own gift basket business. Her business quickly became very successful. She has worked with major hotels, resorts and travel companies over the past 15 years.
Over the past year, Penny has chosen to scale back her business allowing her more time to travel and enjoy retirement. So this is where I (Ashley Williams’ – Penny’s granddaughter) come into the picture. I grew up with a very creative mother and grandmother. I have watched both of them form their own businesses. After high school, I attended college, majoring in Elementary Education. As a first grade teacher for three years, I was able to explore my own creative talents through the way I taught my students. Just like Penny has chosen a new direction for her career, I have too. I am now a full time mom. A career choice I am very proud of but also allows me to have time to explore other interest. Earlier this year, Penny gave to me the opportunity to join her in once again expanding her gift basket business. Out of our planning, Penny Belle Baskets was created.
